Do you love knowing you’ve helped people start their day with a full stomach? Here are two ways to get involved.

  1. GROCERY GIVER: Grocery Givers sign up to provide a week’s groceries, supplies, and other staples for the shelter. Most suppliers visit the shelter to deliver goods 2 or 3 times during their week and spend from $100-$150 depending on the need. Most weeks, the basic list includes breakfast basics, fruit, snack foods, and beverages. We have 20 weeks in the season — consider pooling with your neighbors, civic group, or scout troop to fill the VITAL need for one week. Sign up at http://signup.com/go/TkpqtVw.
  2. Let’s do Lunch: Every day, a community volunteer delivers 12 bagged lunches so that our guests can take a lunch with them when they leave the shelter in the morning. Each bagged lunch should include a sandwich, a piece of fruit, a snack, a small bottle of water or a juice box, and a napkin or a “wet one”. This is an extremely popular way to get kids of all ages involved in serving those in need–and the sign ups fill up fast. Reserve a date here.
